Design Notes
The size of the original genomic sequence from Clostridium thermocellum was reduced from 7kb to ~1kb.
Source
This part was isolated from the cipA scaffoldin from Clostridium thermocellum. Two sets of primers were used - one to isolate the type 2 dockerin region (MiniA2) and another to isolate three type-one cohesin regions and a signaling peptide for export of the protein out of the cell (MiniA1). Therefore, this part does not have the cellulose binding region of C. thermocellum's cellulosome or 6 of the type one cohesin regions. This decreased the nucleotide sequence from 7kb to ~1kb.
